FAQ General

What is your service area?

We are licensed for the entire state of Indiana however we focus primarily on Marion and its surrounding counties. A small travel charge may exist for areas outside of the primary territory to compensate for gas, mileage and travel time.

Are you properly licensed for your trade?

We are fully licensed and certified by the Environmental Protection Agency for radon testing and mitigation work in the state of Indiana. In addition, we maintain constant awareness of industry issues and trends by fulfilling ongoing continuing education requirements.

Are you affiliated with any trade professions or organizations?

Yes, we are active members of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists, as well as, the National Radon Proficiency Program. In addition, we are associated with F.C. Tucker Home Services, the largest real estate agency in the State, as an approved contractor.

Do you carry liability insurance?

We maintain 1M Commercial General Liability, 1M Contractors Pollution Liability and 1M Professional Liability issued by Rockhill Insurance Company.

What are your payment terms?

Payment in full is expected at the time of job completion unless both parties have agreed upon prior arrangements.

Do you match competitor pricing?

We will go one step better than price matching. We will BEAT any similar competitor quote by 2% of the total cost. The proposals must be true apples to apples comparison for the discount to apply. In addition, the fully disclosed written competitor proposal must be presented for review.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. A 3% fee is added to credit card transaction to cover the cost applied by the card companies.

Do you accept deferred payment?

In real estate transactions, we accept payment at closing to assist with cash flow. We merely need your title company information to submit the invoice for processing.

Are weekend scheduling options possible?

Yes, weekend options are available however an additional fee may be assessed to offset labor expenses.

Do you charge for inspections?

Most times a phone interview is sufficient to prepare an accurate proposal however; some homes do require a visual inspection to accurately prepare the proposal due to customer concerns or preferences. In those instances, we typically do not charge an inspection fee.

Is your work warranted?

Absolutely, we always will stand by the quality and integrity of our work. We take great pride in the craftsmanship of our systems and back it up in writing. Each job proposal is submitted with a sample copy of the applicable warranty and terms for review.

How do we register our warranty?

Our website has a convenient page for creating or updating your warranty information. This is especially helpful in the event of a real estate transaction. Our warranty is applied to the property address versus the homeowner therefore it is fully transferable. You merely need to update the change in ownership for our records.

Do you offer any coupons or discounts?

We do offer special incentives from time to time based on affiliations, territory or the season. Our Angie’s List storefront always has active specials for members. Be sure to inquire about active offers prior to securing a proposal.
